Aiprosoft iPod Video Converter

Aiprosoft iPod Video Converter is a multi-format video converter. It allows you to convert video files of multiple formats into formats that play well on Apple iPods.

The supported input formats are MPG, MPEG, MPEG 2, VOB, DAT, MP4, M4V, TS, RM, RMVB, WMV, ASF, MKV, AVI, 3GP, 3G2, FLV, SWF, MPV, QT, MOV, and DV. And the application can convert those files into MPEG-4, MOV and H.264 files. There are quite a few conversion profiles for devices like the iPod Video, iPod Touch, iPhone and several other types of iPods.

First of all, I should say that the app did a good job of converting files in my testing. I used an MKV file and an AVI file and converted it into an iPhone MPEG-4 profile, which was specifically designed for using the TV out feature of the phone, so the resolution was 640x480. The file converted from AVI looked better than the MKV one, mainly because it had a similar resolution.

In terms of design, Aiporosoft iPod Video Converter has a nice interface and good extra features, like a basic video editor and a good preview player.

In short, this app works well and it has lots of conversion profiles. It is worth a try.
